History of the Firm

Beucler, Kelly & Company was established on November 1, 1985 with the merger of two Certified Public Accounting firms located in Wayne, Pennsylvania – Dwight Beucler & Company, Ltd. and John J. Kelly, III, CPA. The firm subsequently acquired the accounting practice of Irwin and Company in 1993 and changed its name to Beucler, Kelly & Irwin, Ltd. Although the firm's current corporate structure officially dates back to 1985, we have a history that extends back to the 1940’s when Dwight's father, Douglas R. Beucler, opened his own accounting and tax practice serving clients in New York and New Jersey. In 1974, Dwight formed Dwight Beucler & Company, Ltd. and began providing tax and attest services to clients in Pennsylvania.

Eventually, Dwight formed relationships with his father's clients, and today we are still providing services to subsequent generations of Doug's original clients. We view this longevity as a testament to the quality of our services and relationships that we form with our clients. As the firm has grown over the years, the scope of services that we provide has expanded.

Today, we consider ourselves to be a full-service certified public accounting firm that specializes in providing accounting, auditing, tax and management advisory services to emerging businesses, established small businesses, not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans in addition to individuals, estates and trusts.

Our client base extends primarily throughout the Mid Atlantic and New England regions as well as the Mid West and other parts of the United States. We also service clients in Great Britain and Bermuda.
